Hi! Winter is still hanging on. Nevertheless, March helps us prepare for warmer weather with daylight savings and the first days of spring, and diverts our attention from lingering cold weather blues with Saint Patrick’s Day and March Madness. In real estate news, the spring buying season has already kicked off. While rates are higher than last year, they are still considered historically low, and that has not stopped robust open house and showing activity on active listings. MBS Highway forecasts an increase in inventory and lower interest rates in May/June as inflation is expected to subside. Over the last few years, the average equity in homes has grown to 58%! Owning a home vs. renting is still the best way to build wealth. Stay positive and talk to your local lenders and realtors about the real estate market in your area.
