June 2023 Newsletter

Hi all! I have a fun June newsletter for you and I have also enclosed some recent market information here. FYI- I give more frequent updates on my social media platforms. The Northeast remains a standout region leading the country in price growth with CT being a top choice for places to live. In May, listings in Fairfield County received an average of 105% of list price, which is in line with 2022; inventory supply was flat. The summer months are predicted to be a busy time for travel with hotel room demand increasing. Fannie Mae is projecting a “subdued” housing market for the rest of the year, putting annual sales at $4.2 million – the slowest pace since 2010. They are bullish on 2024, forecasting a 4.5% increase in sales to align with their projected drop in interest rates. If you are considering putting your house on the market, the Buyers will still be out there. If you are in the market to buy, and planning to stay local this summer, keep your pre-approval up to date as this may be a good time to get the home you have been waiting for.
