April 2023 Newsletter

I hope you are enjoying the start of the beautiful spring weather that has arrived! I feel like a totally different person (in a good way!) when the sun is out. If you’re staying local during spring break week, the sunny weather is a plus. I’m definitely making it a point to spend more time outside. This month’s newsletter includes tips to make guests staying at your home feel welcomed and comfortable. I have also included a Q1 market report for Fairfield and New Haven County. The real estate market was relatively quiet in January and February, and we saw an uptick in new listing activity in March. While mortgage rates are improving, inventory continues to be at historic lows and most homes are receiving multiple offers. Baby Boomers now represent 39% of home buyers, a 29% increase from last year, and they remained the largest home seller generation jumping from 42% in 2021 to 52% in 2022. April marks the history of Fair Housing. While much progress has been made in the real estate industry, we must continue our work to become allies and advocates in removing barriers to housing opportunity, and to advance inclusive, vibrant communities.

Finally, baseball season is in full “swing”! When I’m not supporting my clients, I will be at various baseball fields cheering for my favorite Technique Tiger and his team from the stands!

Be well,

Lisa
